It's finally starting to get nicer out there, folks!
We hope that everyone has stayed safe amid the recent air quality issues in our region. Free N95 masks are still available at a number of subway, LIRR, and Metro-North stations if you'd like one. You can grab one by asking a station employee.
Thankfully, the weather improvements have arrived just in time for some big events. If you're heading to the Belmont Stakes or Governors Ball, we're your best bet for getting there with ease. Public transit is also the way to go for Brooklyn Pride, the National Puerto Rican Day Parade, and anywhere else you're heading this weekend.
An important note for train riders:
This weekend, Pelham Bay Park-bound trains are running on the express track from Parkchester to Pelham Bay Park. After this service change ends on Monday morning, the Pelham Bay Park-bound platform at Westchester Sq-E Tremont Av will remain closed 24/7 through mid-July while we make station improvements. As an alternative, use nearby stations at Middletown Rd or Zerega Av, or take a Manhattan-bound train and transfer.
