That's another week in the books, folks. We've got the scoop on service changes happening over Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend.
First off, if you're a regular on the or 42 St Shuttle, take note: From midnight to noon on Sunday, real-time arrival info will be unavailable on countdown clocks, station screens, and the MYmta app while we perform system maintenance.
On Monday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the subway will run on a regular weekday schedule. Buses will run on a reduced weekday schedule. LIRR will operate on a weekday schedule, with off-peak fares in effect on all trains. Metro-North will operate on a Saturday schedule, with extra trains in the morning and afternoon. Major subway service changes
trains, Queens
trains aren't running between Briarwood and Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer in either direction from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of signal modernization work.
- Free shuttle buses are running between Kew Gardens-Union Tpke and Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer. Look for signs outside your station for walking directions to the shuttle bus stop.
- trains are running between World Trade Center and Briarwood, and via the to/from Jamaica-179 St.
- For direct service to/from JFK Airport, take the to Howard Beach-JFK Airport, the to Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK, or the LIRR to Jamaica.
- LIRR will accommodate MetroCard users at no additional cost at Penn Station, Woodside, Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, and Jamaica.
Manhattan-bound trains are running on the express track from Parsons Blvd to Kew Gardens-Union Tpke from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of signal modernization work.
- For service to/from bypassed stations, take a Queens-bound train.

trains, Manhattan and Brooklyn
trains are not running between 8 Av and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs in either direction from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of station improvement work. trains will provide additional service to/from Manhattan, making regular stops to/from 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr, and line stops to/from 96 St.
- In Manhattan, M14A/D-SBS buses provide alternative service at stations along 14 St. Transfer between the M14 and the train at 6 Av or Delancey St-Essex St to get to/from Brooklyn.
- In Brooklyn, free shuttle buses are running along two routes:
- Between Lorimer St and Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs.
- Between Lorimer St, Bedford Av, Marcy Av , Hewes St , and Broadway .
- Look for signs outside your station for walking directions to the shuttle bus stop.
- trains are running between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy.

trains, Brooklyn
Trains are not running between Kings Hwy and Coney Island-Stillwell Av in either direction from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of track maintenance.
- Free shuttle buses are running between Kings Hwy and Coney Island-Stillwell Av. Look for signs outside your station for walking directions to the shuttle bus stop.
- trains are running between Astoria-Ditmars Blvd and Kings Hwy.
- For direct service to/from Coney Island-Stillwell Av, take trains.

Franklin Av Shuttle trains are not running at all from 5:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday because of track maintenance.
- Free shuttle buses are running between Franklin Av and Prospect Park. Look for signs outside your station for walking directions to the shuttle bus stop.

Other service changes
trains, Manhattan
From 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, uptown trains are running on the express track from Canal St to 59 St-Columbus Circle, and Queens-bound trains are running on the express track from Canal St to 42 St-Port Authority Bus Terminal. This is because of signal modernization work.
- For service to/from Spring St and 23 St, take a downtown train.
- For service to 50 St, take the .
- For service from 50 St, take a downtown train, or take the to 7 Av/53 St and then the to 59 St-Columbus Circle.

Downtown trains are not stopping at 155 St from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of track maintenance.
- For service to/from 155 St, take an uptown train.

All Manhattan-bound trains are running on the express track from Forest Hills-71 Av to Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av from 9:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday because of track maintenance.

Coney Island-bound trains are running on the express track from 18 Av to Kings Hwy from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday because of signal modernization work.
