About the route

The proposed Q104 Local runs westbound to Roosevelt Island and eastbound to Sunnyside.

The proposed length of the Q104 Local is 4.7 miles.

In the existing route, the average stop spacing is 670 feet. Under the proposed route, that would increase to 1,138 feet.

The route would include connections to the B53, B62, Q32, Q60, Q63, Q66, Q68, Q69, Q101, Q103, and Q105. It would also connect to the trains.

The proposed Q104 would be extended to serve Roosevelt Island at its western terminal, replacing Q102 service, which would be discontinued. The Q104 would continue to serve Broadway and 48 Street, maintaining its connection with the . Existing Q102 service along East Loop Road/West Loop Road south of the Roosevelt Island would be discontinued. Existing Q102 service along 31 Street would be replaced by the proposed Q105.

As a Local route, stops would be spaced slightly further apart than existing to speed up buses and improve reliability.

Both frequency and span would be increased to resemble Q102 service.
