Service changes and restoration of regular service: March 29-April 1, 2024
Regular service on the
and lines will be restored on Monday, April 1, 2024. There will be some additional service changes between Friday, March 29 and Monday, April 1 as we prepare to resume regular service.- The
- Free shuttle buses will connect Roosevelt Island, 21 St-Queensbridge, and Queens Plaza from 11:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29 to 5 a.m. on Monday, April 1.
Shuttle train will stop running at 11:45 p.m. on Friday, March 29.
- trains will continue to run on the line between 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Center and Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av until 5 a.m. on Monday, April 1, when regular service will resume.
- trains will continue to run between 57 St and Middle Village-Metropolitan Av between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. weekdays through Friday, March 29. Regular weekday service will resume on Monday, April 1. trains will no longer terminate at 57 St and will resume local service between Forest Hills-71 Av and 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Center.

What we’re doing
From August 28, 2023 until April 1, 2024,
trains will be rerouted between Manhattan and Queens in both directions and weekday trains will be partially suspended.- trains will run on the line at all times in both directions between 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Center and Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av.
- On weekdays, trains will not run in either direction between 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Center and Forest Hills-71 Av and will terminate at 57 St.
- A special shuttle train will run every 20 minutes in each direction between Lexington Av/63 St and 21 St-Queensbridge, stopping at Roosevelt Island. The shuttle train will not run overnight.
- Free shuttle buses will run between 21 St-Queensbridge and Queens Plaza days and evenings, and between Roosevelt Island, 21 St-Queensbridge, and Queens Plaza overnight.
Why we’re doing it
We’re replacing tracks and making other repairs on the 63 St Line, which is used by
trains between Manhattan and Queens. This will improve reliability for the 149,000 riders who travel through this area every day.Service changes starting August 28, 2023
